Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Invisible Man
STAGE FRIGHT - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Invisible Man
Act 1
The kindly Dr. Jekyll, experimenting with the evil side of man's nature, turns himself into the hideous Mr. Hyde. Jekyll's friends cannot understand his mysterious actions until this transformation takes place before their very eyes. In a most unusual (and hilarious) conclusion, there is an on-stage battle between Jekyll and Hyde... with the good winning out in the end. This adaptation of the classic Stevenson horror story features students in 6th -12th grades.
Act II
Fasten your seatbelts for an uproarious trip with the master of science fiction, H.G. WELLS! Mad scientist Jack Griffin has made himself invisible (and unpleasant) with a secret chemical. He plans to conquer and rule the world! While he perfects his project he takes refuge in a wayside inn, his face wrapped in bandages and wearing sunglasses. A series of peculiar robberies plague the area, and Griffin, in a demented rage, tosses out anyone who enters his room. The comical characters include his girlfriend, Lady Cynthia, who weeps and wails, the local law official ( a bumbling incompetent) and the District Nurse who tries to dispense ineffectual pills.
